Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy offers a one-to-one, confidential space to explore what’s happening in your inner world and how it’s shaping your life. Therapy can support healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change - helping you navigate challenges with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.
People often seek therapy when something feels out of balance. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm, moving through a life transition, or noticing patterns that no longer serve you.
At times, past experiences can surface during these moments, even when you’ve done a great deal of personal work already. Therapy can offer support whether you’re seeking help for the first time or returning with a desire to go deeper.
Your Questions, Answered
-
Individual psychotherapy involves working collaboratively with a therapist in a private, supportive setting. Together, we explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relational patterns - building insight while also developing practical and internal resources for change.
Therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about understanding what has shaped you, supporting what’s ready to shift, and helping you move forward in a way that feels grounded, authentic, and sustainable.
-
Individual psychotherapy can be helpful for a wide range of concerns and life experiences, including:
Anxiety, stress, and nervous system overwhelm
Depression and persistent low mood
Trauma, PTSD, and the lingering effects of past experiences
Grief, loss, and major life changes
Perinatal and reproductive mental health
Relationship, attachment, and dating challenges
Self-esteem, self-doubt, and an overly critical inner voice
Compulsive or hard-to-shift patterns and behaviors
Work, career, and creative or performance-related concerns
Life transitions, identity exploration, and questions of meaning
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come seeking greater self-understanding, emotional balance, or support during periods of growth and change.

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, relational, and grounded in evidence-informed practice. At the foundation of my work are psychodynamic, attachment-based, and human-centered principles, meaning we pay attention to meaning, emotional depth, and the therapeutic relationship itself as a vehicle for change.
I offer therapy within a safe, attuned, and non-judgmental space, honoring your pace and capacity. Our work is collaborative and responsive, shaped by what you’re experiencing and what feels most supportive at each stage of the process.
-
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I don’t begin with a predetermined method. Instead, our work unfolds through careful listening - to your experiences, your goals, and how your nervous system responds over time.
From a strong relational foundation, I integrate body-based and experiential approaches when helpful, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS)–informed work, mindfulness, and other somatic tools. These approaches can support healing at both cognitive and nervous-system levels, especially when talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough.
Some people benefit from gently processing past experiences held in the body. Others find it helpful to work with emotional parts, protective patterns, or present-moment regulation. Often, therapy involves a thoughtful blend - moving between insight, embodied awareness, and targeted trauma processing as needed.
We’ll move at a pace that feels collaborative and safe, checking in regularly about what’s working and what’s needed. The goal isn’t to apply techniques, but to support meaningful, lasting change that feels integrated rather than forced.
-
Engaging in individual therapy can support:
Greater emotional awareness and regulation
Improved mood and resilience
Increased self-confidence and self-worth
Healthier coping strategies and problem-solving skills
Clearer perspective during challenging life situations
More satisfying and connected relationships
Healing from past or ongoing emotional wounds
Over time, therapy can help you feel more integrated, steady, and aligned with your values.

To support accessibility and flexibility, I offer online individual therapy via Zoom, a secure telehealth platform. Online sessions allow you to attend therapy from the comfort and privacy of your home or office, without the need for travel.
Many clients find online therapy to be both effective and convenient, offering continuity of care that fits more easily into daily life.
