Pyschedelic Integration Therapy

As psychedelic use becomes more visible in both research and culture, many people find themselves holding powerful experiences without adequate support to fully understand or embody them. Psychedelic integration therapy offers a grounded, therapeutic space to process these experiences safely, meaningfully, and ethically.

Integration is not about chasing peak states or recreating altered experiences. It is about making sense of what has already occurred, supporting nervous system regulation, and translating insight into sustainable psychological and relational change.

I provide psychedelic integration as a licensed clinical social worker, using evidence-informed, trauma-sensitive approaches that honor both neurobiology and lived experience.

This Service May Be Helpful If You Are Seeking:

  • A safe, grounded space to explore psychedelic or non-ordinary experiences

  • Support integrating insights into your body, relationships, and daily life

  • Help navigating emotional or psychological challenges following a journey

  • A therapist who understands altered states through a trauma-informed lens

  • Education around harm reduction and ethical use

Important Note

I do not provide psychedelic substances, facilitate dosing, or guide psychedelic sessions. All integration work occurs within the scope of licensed psychotherapy and focuses exclusively on preparation, processing, and integration.

  • Psychedelic integration is the process of working with the emotional, psychological, somatic, and existential material that can arise before or after a psychedelic or ceremonial experience. These experiences can open non-ordinary states of consciousness, surface unresolved trauma, shift identity narratives, or challenge existing belief systems.

Without proper support, individuals may experience confusion, emotional overwhelm, dissociation, or difficulty incorporating insights into daily life. Integration therapy helps stabilize and contextualize these experiences so they can become resources rather than disruptions.

Psychedelic experiences are not inherently healing on their own. They are best understood as tools - powerful ones - that require intention, preparation, and ongoing integration.

  • My work is grounded in a neurobiologically informed, relational, and mindfulness-based therapeutic framework. I primarily use:

Brainspotting to access and process subcortical material activated during psychedelic experiences

Focused mindfulness and somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation and embodiment

Trauma-informed psychotherapy to safely explore material related to attachment, identity, meaning, and self-concept

This approach allows us to work gently and effectively with experiences that may feel ineffable, symbolic, or difficult to articulate, without pathologizing them or rushing interpretation.

  • Integration sessions may include support with:

    • Preparing intention and mindset before a journey

    • Processing emotional, somatic, or perceptual aftereffects

    • Making sense of symbolic, spiritual, or transpersonal experiences

    • Addressing anxiety, dissociation, or destabilization following use

    • Integrating insights into relationships, values, and daily life

    • Harm reduction education and safety-oriented decision-making

Sessions are paced collaboratively and always grounded in clinical ethics, consent, and psychological safety.

  • Psychedelic use exists within a complex cultural and medical landscape. While research continues to evolve, there are real risks associated with misuse, inadequate preparation, and lack of post-experience support.

My role is not to promote or provide psychedelic substances, but to offer informed, ethical therapeutic care that prioritizes:

    • Psychological safety

    • Nervous system stability

    • Clear boundaries and scope of practice

    • Respect for personal meaning-making

    • Awareness of power dynamics and vulnerability

From this perspective, psychedelics are not viewed as cures or shortcuts, but as experiences that require careful integration to support long-term wellbeing.

  • For individuals seeking structured support, I offer pre- and post-experience integration sessions, typically including:

    • Preparation sessions to clarify intention, expectations, and harm reduction strategies

    • Post-experience integration sessions to process and embody insights within a therapeutic framework

The number and pacing of sessions are flexible and tailored to each person’s needs.
